Product Sales Representative

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Product Sales Representative assists the Chief Business Development Officer in managing product sales operations while working closely with the Product Sales Coordinator to facilitate consistent and successful product sales programs
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
Assists CBDO in managing product sales operations
Collaborates with the Business Development team to develop and implement Product Sales strategies
Act as point of first reference for all product related enquiries in a regional area
Serves as the council liaison and maintains relationships with local troops and surrounding service units
Assists in the planning, development and delivery of an annual training program for staff and volunteers that highlights the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, product sale outcomes and promotes a high level of girl participation
Assists Product Sales Coordinator with implementation of Service Unit and Troop trainings
Collaborates with Product Sales Coordinator and regional office staff to develop and establish cupboard inventory processes
Manages product cupboard inventory and processes in his/her regional office
Manages cookie costume inventory and processes in his/her regional office
Manages and is accountable for cookie incentive inventory and processes in his/her regional office
Enters accurate and necessary data in product sales databases
Coordinates council secured booths in regional area for troops and any database entry required for booth locator applications
Manages the Product Sales hotline/e-mail for his/her regional office
Assists Product Sales Coordinator with implementation of girl incentive program
Serves as the council liaison and maintains relationships with local troops and surrounding service units
Assists with writing and implementing any necessary processes and strategies
Assists CBDO with gathering of financial documentation for debt collection
Assists with the planning, recruitment and implementation of Product Sales promotional events
Inspires others and ensures outstanding customer service at all levels
Performs other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
Bachelors degree in a related field and/or 1 to 2 years of related experience in sales or marketing; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred:
Previous non-profit and/or Girl Scout experience
SKILLS QUALIFICATIONS:
Excellent organizational skills
Possesses strong conflict management skills
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Strong mathematical and analytical skills
Project management skills
A can-do attitude to achieve goals
ABILITY QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to practice in accordance with the principles of the Girl Scout Movement
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with others
Ability to maintain accurate/thorough records and data
Ability to work independently, plan, organize and manage multiple projects and deadlines in a timely order in a continually changing work environment
Ability to carry or lift objects weighing up to 20 pounds
Ability to quickly learn product sales databases
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Membership in GSUSA
Willingness to work a flexible schedule that includes evening and weekend hours
Willingness to travel inside and outside council jurisdiction
Excellent judgment and problem solving ability
Strong human relations skills and have ability to work well with people of diverse backgrounds
Unequivocal commitment to pluralism
Valid drivers license required with clean driving record
All prospective employees must pass a background check
Flexibility and a good sense of humor

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
