Property Maintenance Technician - Police Facility Full Time SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Inspects buildings and other structures to determine functional systems and detect malfunctions and needed repair using established checklists.
Performs minor electrical maintenance to include but not limited to replacement or repair of fixtures (e.
g.
wall switches and outlets, led bulbs, fuses, minor appliances, cords, etc.
) using appropriate hand, power and specialty tools.
Performs minor plumbing maintenance (e.
g.
replacement or repair of leaks in drains, faucets, unclogging of drains and faucets, replacement of drain hoses on washers and similar devices, etc.
).
Performs minor painting, carpentry and masonry work (e.
g.
prepping surfaces and using a brush, sprayer or roller to apply paints, stains, and varnishes, hanging doors, fitting locks, and handles, etc.
) Reconfigures, installs, positions and remounts modular office furniture, storage bins, etc.
to accommodate user needs.
Prepares the surfaces and paints various structures (e.
g.
walls, floors, roofs, doors, restroom facilities, etc.
) to preserve wood and metal parts from corrosion and maintain a safe, comfortable working environment using various painting equipment and related tools.
Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, parking lots, and other work areas.
Order supplies and maintain required materials for performance of these duties.
Performs all lawn maintenance duties (e.
g.
cutting grass, weed eating, blowing walkways, trimming shrubbery, trimming low level tree limbs, etc.
) POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
The requirements listed hereafter are representative of the knowledge, skills, and or abilities required to do this job.

Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required Ability to read, write and speak English.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
One year experience painting.
Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry is a plus.
Have an understanding and knowledge in the use of lawn maintenance equipment.
SALARY RANGE:
$37,835 to $42,307 with benefits.
Salary based on experience.
