Our company is looking for an Assistant Controller to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the office, ensuring that all financial records are accurate and up to date, and providing support to the Controller.
The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, an eye for detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
Monitor and review financial statements and reports.
Manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting office.
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Analyze financial data and prepare financial reports.
Maintain internal control systems to ensure accuracy of financial records.
Develop and implement procedures to ensure accuracy of financial data.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
